Just looked at the different cards on the Citibank site and most of them are Mastercards. Did Citibank do away with the Visa cards ? I still have my Sony Visa card. Will they convert it over to an MC when it expires later this year ?
All the good deals I've gotten from any bank have been on MasterCards. I think MasterCard does promotional deals with the banks and gives them some sort of financial incentive as opposed to Visa. Of course, Citibank is big enough that they don't need the Visa name to sell credit. The Citibank name probably has more credibility with intelligent people (the kind who actually pay their bills) than the Visa name does. Which would you rather have, a Citibank MasterCard or a Cross Country Bank Visa?
