My sixth month statement closed today on my Platinum Select card. I had an initial credit limit of $5,000. One click on the Request Increase button and -- Congratulations! Your credit line can be immediately increased by $1,200.00 for a total new credit line of $6,200.00. During the evaluation process, a credit bureau report was not pulled. Please indicate below whether or not you accept this amount, or if you want a lower credit line, call Customer Care at 1-800-950-5114. Not bad. My sixth month statement for my Dividend Platinum Select will be on May 7th. Hopefully it's just as easy.

Congratulations on your increase. I also was surprised for a suddenly increase when checking my Citi Div and found that my new limit was 13,800 (From 12,000 last week). I have received three automatic increases since 01/2001 when opened the account. The original limit was 9k.
Wow. I just got had one show up as well. A lousy $500. So I went from $24,500 to $25,000. Oh well, $500 is $500.
If I pay off the $10,000 @ 0.00% BEFORE it expires...@ 5.5 months...would I get a BIG increase??? ...Or just keep up 2 payments every month??? I pay 2 or 3 times minimum...
After reading this thread I clicked on CL increase and I got one, too. $1,500 bringing my Citi Select to 10,900.
Hey, I just clicked for a line increase and got the same message as Dave -- no credit report pulled and an increase of $2,000 bringing my LOC for the Citi Platinum Select to $11,500. Thanks for the tip! Doc
My credit line went from $15,000 yesterday to $22,500 today. I have no negatives on my report but fairly low scores due to high balances. My last negative was removed about 3 weeks ago. For the last year, Citi turned me down for everything (CL increase, BDD, lower APR, BT rate).. I think this must have something to do with no negatives on my report all of a sudden.
Isn't it fun? Kind of like an Easter egg hunt - you know where to look, but... will the pretty egg be there this time????
I tried yesterday for a BT rate. They refused. So they increase my CL by $7500 without me asking, but will not give me a BT rate. My Apr is still lower on this card than any of my other cards, so I will continue to use c2it to transfer money from Citi to pay down my other cards. It's all a big game
Don't know the answer to your question. They denied me in the past, most recently about six months ago. Most only allow CL increases every six months
