Has anyone tried to combine their SilverAA card with a Platinum Select when there are balances on both cards? Should I pay off the Silver before I call to combine? Do I need to pay off BOTH before I try and combine? I have about a grand on each.

Saar, Sam you would know. Any help would be appreciated.

Dave, yes you can combine the two cards into the Plat.Sel. They will put your balance from the AA card onto your P.S. as long as it does not exceed your P.S. limit.

Thanks Brad. In February I am going to do the new SilverAA card and will need to combine this before then. I needed to know if I would have to pay the balances off before trying. Knowing I do not have to will help me "budget" my next month spending.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

You may just want to call Customer Service (the 800# on the back of your card) and ask whether the accounts are eligible for combining, with out actually doing it. I know that was one of the steps in my recent adventure.
