I talked to a senior rep today. Their computers will flag folks who BT bounce and will increase the APR on BT's or eliminate them for people, their computers judge this apparently.

I wonder if they judge a big cash payment the same way?

Anyways just thought i'd let you know.

LET ME SEE...YOU ADVERTISE 0.00% BT FOR LIKE 15 MONTHS...AND THEN YOU "JACK" THEM FOR DOING WHAT IS ADVERTISED??? I DON'T THINK SO!!!

It's like going to a bar to eat up the free peanuts without ordering a drink. Why would they be happy?

Citibank Sony Card sent me no fee 3.9% BT checks and AT&T Universal Card also sent me 4.9% no fee BT checks today.

What exactly do you mean by "BT Bounce"? Do you mean taking a lot of balance transfers on that card and leaving them, or do you mean doing a BT onto the card and then off? I've done several BT onto my Citi and AT&T Universal cards, but I'm paying them off slowly. Does this mean that I shouldn't make big payments on it when I get down the list to them? (I'm paying off highest interest rate first, then working my way down.)

Keep doing what you are doing...

I do the same thing...PAY HIGHEST FIRST...

Today I have 0.00% to 5.90%...but I will pay as high as 9.99% BUT NO HIGHER!!!

Within a month or two, I'll have everything I owe below 8%. I got stuck with a lot of cc debt when I got divorced, and got in a lot of trouble. I've been through the penalty rate garbage, now have one I'm paying off at 13.74% and one at 11.9%, then I'll be below 8% on everything. It should have been paid off according to my plan, but about $3,000 in vehicle repairs slowed down my payoff schedule. At least I could pay for the repairs, put them on my mileage card and paid it right away to get the miles. Two or three years ago it would have been a disaster.

So I think I've done pretty well these last few years. I just wish I had known a lot of what I've learned here several years ago.
