I just logged on Experian to check my credit report. I found out that Citibank (Not Citibank USA) doesn't report the credit limit of the account again and they only report the highest amount of the account owe. They reported the balance as of 1/2002. I don't know whether they report the credit limit to other 2 credit bureaus or not. Ron.
they reported earlier this year when I first opened my MC account with them, then I noticed a couple of months ago that they did not. They actually report the balance and credit limit on my Equifax but it is broken up into 2 different listings (weird); they don't report on Experian, and they report on TransUnion but no limit is listed. cariba
Sure, Sometimes when a person has alot of open credit lines if one of them doesn't report it sorta hides that credit. as to not let it look like you have too much available credit.
EXP has not updated info on my CITIBANK since 1/2002...CL is N/A......actually yesterday it showed last update 3/2002...and credit limit showed $8,500 my credit limit is really $10,500....right now its showing $5500 high balance...should be $10,000..thats what i owe, as of today.... so this is in my favor till its paid off, in 2 months.... Ron, I got my citi card in January. It took a couple of months for it to show up on Equifax and TU. Both are showing correct credit limits. Experian, just started reporting a few days ago, even though it says reported since 2/2002. It does not show my credit limit. It is showing a balance of $1395 which just lowered my % of available credit by 10 % and I lost 1 pt. on my score. Tomorrow, I will be calling citi and experian. I have a feeling this is experian as the other 2 cra's are correct.
