Looking over my Experian report, (mailed) I found that Citi gace me 5 HARD ones; 1.) Citibank <applied for "pre-approved" card> PO Box 6000 Sioux Falls, SD 2.) Ciibank SD <11 days later><Reconsideration?> same address 3.) Citi Cards CBSDNA <applied for a diff. Citi> same address 4.) Citibank FSB <????????> 1 Court Square Floor 38 Long Island City, NY 5.) Citibank SD<???????> same po box They all say "Permissable Purpose", EXCEPT the NY one, which states: IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION. I only received one card from them. The last thre are all within 3 days w/2 on the same day, 1 of which is the ID one. How can I dispute these? All these Inquires are ridiculous. Thanks
Was in the same situation. Had several hard inquiries made within 3 weeks period. Contested it by stating that I gave only one permission. All inquiries were removed except the first one. Btw, it has been quite interesting to test Credit Score Simulator at EX. Inquiries make your score go down just as quick as increased debt.
Don't rely too much on the simulator, inquiries are not anything score wise to even compare to taking on more debt.
