Does Citibank periodically review your account for increases and if so, do they pull your credit for this? Or do they only inquire on your credit when you ask for a credit line increase?
RE: Citibank Increase Question From what I have seen Citibank does periodically peek at your reports when they are reviewing you for increases, this does appear as a "soft Inquiry" but if you request a creditline increase then I believe they will pull a "hard Inquiry" on you. Mom
RE: Citibank Increase Question If they do a quick scan of your credit report for an automatic increase on your credit limit a external inquirie with dosn't affect your credit rating at all.Only when you apply for one then a internal inquirie is placed on your report. These are the one's that other creditor's can see. These are the kinds of inquiries you don't want.
