"Your application for a Citibank credit card is accepted and being processed, results will be sent to your address within 7 - 10 days". Has anyone that received this response also received a card or been denied? I'm trying to get a feel for this message - are most approved or denied? chet
RE: Citibank neutral online re I sent in an application and that same message came up. The thing is that it came up so fast (less than a few seconds) that I'm sure they didn't process the application. Plus, I have pretty decent credit, so I don't think it would have denied it that quickly at all. I wouldn't worry too much...their approval system could be down- or maybe it's only operational when the credit/applications dept. is open, and they're closed now (that's what I was told by CS anyway).

RE: Citibank neutral online re Depends...some registries show the guy who lived here way back when...but the updated one shows my place in MY name...phone number is unlisted, but in my name nonetheless! :-D (But I didn't bother with that car information crap...)
RE: Citibank neutral online re ok, I put the car information. And your info has to be listed. If not for the gold card citi will require that you send a copy of your phone bill to verify. That is the policy point blank. I went through it. But I had the phone co. list my # and address, which took about 12 hrs for it to appear on the records, and called citi and they verified it on the spot. I then had the phone co, put it unlisted again. I did not feel like waiting to send in a phone bill.

When I got the GOLD WORLD MC, there was no verification at all...same with when I got the Plat. Select way back when. I'm thinking that they asked for verification from you b/c of # of inquiries, the fact that you have a PO Box, multiple new accounts; those are all reasons that I've heard or heard of.

RE: Citibank neutral online re How can I be sure they do it for all. I can only tell you what happened to me and what the rep told me. she told me the only thing holding up my approval was that. Once I rectified it i was approved in 2 secs.
Hold Up! Let me tell you something JO. This little tip was intended for those who have been struggling to get there credit in line. You talk about have plat. cards and world cards etc. Why would you then need my (our) little tips. Especially to receive a gold or god forbid the classic. What I am trying to say, us little people probably can not answer your questions. I doubt that I can and maybe you should direct your future questions to citi. 301-733-5501.

You OBVIOUSLY took my post the wrong way and I apologize for that- I even wrote the second post trying to apologize, but perhaps the hundreds of posts you've made in the last few days have left you stressed out and a bit *TESTY*. I was just asking if you were certain because you wrote in another post "they will verify you phone # and address". I've noticed your replies getting nastier and more snappy...perhaps you need to ease up...either that or use those 2 $9K lines you've been bragging about to get yourself a massage.
