citibank never updates CR's

    annoyed. my citibank account has showed to be maxed out since december. It hasnt been updated since that time :/
    Will they ever updated it? Anyone know?

    I ran it up during christmas then paid it halfway down in order to help my scores. I was thinking they'd update it one day.

    I have had to dispute the balance to get them to update it.

    I closed my Platinum Select just for that reason...will never apply for Citi again...their reporting to the CRA's is terrible...

    You ought to enjoy this:

    I recently paid off a Citfinancial personal loan account, and I called my local office to ask them when it would be reported to the credit bureaus as paid in full. The lady on the phone told me she had no idea, and that the credit bureaus dial in to their system whenever they feel like getting an update on the account. I don't know about you all, but that just doesn't sound like the way it works!

    Either that lady was completely clueless about credit reporting, or Citi sure has a weird reporting relationship with the bureaus. Probably both.

    do they have a habit of deleating open accounts with balances.

    Yes. I disputed paid off Universal/Citi AU account and TU said they do not dispute AU accounts and deleted!!

    My oldest account. Now my history is 2 years old! :(
    with oldest credit card account of 1 year :(

    No problems on EX or EQ so far on the same issue.

    Has this happened to you before? Back in Sept I disputed an amount w/ Efx on one of dh's credit cards well apparently the ccc did not respond b/c it was updated to 0 balance, well I just noticed last week that Efx has not updated this since. I never noticed it before b/c we always pay it off before the reporting time so it should be a 0 balance but I pulled a qspace report on him and it shows there has been no activity since Sept but yet TU and Exp have been updated.
