To all Citi members, I was approved for the Citi silver AA recently, but they told me that there were no BT offers available for me, but that I should be able to BT once I activate my silver card. Momof3's post to AnnMarie seemed to suggest that Citi would not offer her a BT until she applied for and received the gold AA card. Should I apply for the gold in order to qualify for a BT, or should I just convert to Platinum Select first and then request a BT? Has anyone ever balanced transferred using the silver AA card? What steps should I take in this process? Thanks in advance, Marci
Re: Citibank: no BT on AA sil Hi Marci, I was told I couldn't BT with the silver but I only talked to one rep and didn't really push this issue. Personally if I were you I would upgrade to the platinum (no annual fee, better APR) and then do they BT. Mom
Re: Citibank: no BT on AA sil Platinum select's get balance transfers Just convert to plat select, then call back later and ask for balance transfer offer. You have to ask, they won't give it to you without asking The best they would give me was 6.9% for 6 months.
Re: Citibank: no BT on AA sil Thanks Sam! I'll take 6.9%. That's better than the 18%+ I'm paying now.
Re: Citibank: no BT on AA sil CiAadvantage also have balances transfer. just ask for it when you receive the card
