    when you click on the link to have your limit increased, does that generate an inquiry?

    Hi,

    I requested credit line increase online and got increase right away. There is no hard inquiry. There will be the botton Accept credit line increase telling you exact amount you will get.

    But if you got the screen need addtional information such as income, saving account, checking account and etc. That will be hard inquiry.

    Right! Automatic increase will say "congratulations! you have been approved for $XXX increase"

    then buttons for "Accept" and "decline."

    If you fill out any info boxes you get an inquiry.
