Does anyone have any insight into why Citibank is appartently no longer reporting to the CRA's? It has been at least September since they have. If I make a large payment on my account, is there any way to get them to report it so that it will help my scores?
Why not call them and ask. I think we would all like to know. Pick a number. Thanks to Saar for the resource! People here have suggested that Citibank only reports quarterly. If they reported your accounts in September, you may want to wait until January to see if they update. Citi not reporting at all would be great for me right now. I balance transferred all of my other balances to my new Platinum Select so right now it looks like I have no CC debt.
I wonder if they are in some sort of legal battle with all the CRAs?... Mine hasn't updated since September 2001, either...
Just pulled my report on CreditExpert and noticed that my Citibank account hasn't been updated since Sept. either. I wish they'd hurry up and fix it because right now it looks like the card is almost maxed, when in fact I've paid off a big chunk of the balance! :O
I've disputed the balance as being incorrect and received an update showing the correct balance. I waited forever for Citi to update and it is starting to look like the only way to get an update is to dispute the balance. Unfortunately, this can take 30days.
Disputing good tradelines is a risky business. I'm afraid that the CRA might remove the tradeline altogether... I sent citibank a PF letter, and mentioned the fact that they aren't reporting. I'l let you know if they get back to me. -Roman
Mine updated on one of my Credit reports. I've been going about 4 months between updates, depending on which report.
I have disputed incorrect balances and such with no problem. If the CCC doesn't respond right away, sometimes they remove it - but temporarily. It comes right back. On one CCC account that didn't repsond when I disputed the balance, and they changed the balance to zero, hahahaha. I loved it!! For refernce, I am not constantly disputing negatives, I am just "doing maintenance." So that may have some effect on how the CRA's treat me.
