Does anyone know if Citibank has a retention dept.? I was thinking about pulling the old, "I wanna close...." routine to see what they would do for me. All I want is a friggin $200 increase so that I can product transfer to Platinum. Tired of my crappy limit of $800! Been a customer since 1992 in perfect standing.....what else do that want? Dang...
Citibank does not handle increases in that department. Another department needs to review your account. I had a long talk with the guy, i believe he was telling the truth. I did get my interest reduced to prime+2.9% rather easily.
Why don't you just apply for the Plat Select? It seems fairly easy to get--both my husband and myself got them---and we both have clasic cards also. When hubby got his they had just started the 1.9 promo. They originally gave him 4500 then asked if he wanted a balance transfer, I clicked yes and they gave him 11500. I received a check made out to him a couple days ago for $10000.00. I did everything online, it was fast and easy! am
