Citibank trashes credit over $8.42

    I'm glad it worked out. Suing isn't always necessary. I feel it should be a last resort.

    Wow!! Over 8,000+ messages already. It's hard to believe that 4 years has gone by so quickly. I joined the board a few months after you.

    By the way, you're exactly right. I just paid off a Chase account. Learning from my Citibank experience, I called Chase and was told that I will recieve another statement with a balance because of the "trailing interest."

    I'd never heard of that before. Now, I'll never forget it.

    Cases of this kind are well documented on Creditnet. Cards have been closed and the card holder fails to check to see if there are any post charges to the account. Then they complain about the ding to their credit. As a credit net member you, the original poster, should have been aware of these type of activities by CC companies. It's your own fault for thinking closed means closed.
