I just called Citibank to combine my two Citibank credit card accounts.I was very surprise it only took about two minutes to complete the combination.
In other words, if you want an increase you better apply for another card and then combine. It's not an added inquiry, because for increase Citi pulls your credit report anyhow; But when applying for a second Citi card, the potential amount of "increase" (after combination) is much higher. Saar
