in 1998 I settled an account with citibank. I paid 1500.00 on a 2200.00 balance. Thinking it may help me someday get a citicard again I called them and offered to pay the settled amount. They refused to accept the payment saying that once the account is settled they cannot go back and take any payment on that account. I dont think there's any chance Ill get one of their cards again.
