For those of you on Citibank's SD 'Blacklist" Citicorp Diners club (issued by Citibank USA) does check for post bankruptcy Citi accounts. I applied online last week and called this morning for the status--the outcome--declined because of a Citi card that was included in a bankruptcy over 10.5 years! Basically, I was told that my only option in getting a Diners credit card is to pay off the old debt! The lady went one step further and gave me the telephone # for the collection dept. Does anyone knows if I were to pay of this old debt, would it show up on my credit profiles again though it had already fallen off?

You could try disputing that the old debt was actually yours, if you haven't already copped to it.

Sorry to hear that...did they at least spare you the inquiry since decline based on internal records?

CHASE denied me because of the "FAKE" LATE (INTERNAL) and I got a "HARD" for my trouble...then when they changed their minds and ADMITTED THEIR MISTAKE...they did another "HARD" (AFTER I SAID DON'T BOTHER "IF" YOU HAVE TO PULL AGAIN TO RE-DO THE APPLICATION FOR THE SECOND CARD--UNIVERSAL ENTERTAINMENT)

Too Late! Thanks all the same.

In fact no, my report was pulled initially before their investigation began.

It's ironic, 8 years into the bankruptcy I was approved for the Gateway credit card (Citibank USA) and a Citifinancial loan.

    Thanks all for your feedback!
