Ok, got another Citibank card. Inquired about the APR. It's P+7.99%. WHAT ?! Called CS, the rep said he's "able to offer me P+7.90% instead". I laughed in his face. Knowing their system, I asked him to start closing the account and see if a better rate pops up (this is a feature that was not discussed here before, which was once even more effective than "R"). He said, all right, please hold... I can now offer you P+5.99%. I politely declined. Hung up and called Citi "R". The agent was very understanding, offering P+4.99% up front. He said in a few months they'd probably be able to offer an even lower APR, and you have to do it gradually to get best results. I accepted. He then offered a 5.9% fee-free BT. I accepted. Hmmm, have to mark my calender and call again in, say, 3 months. Saar
