I glanced up at my security camera monitor this morning and there stands some woman with a tablet in her hand and looking at my car. I went out and saw the white city car and asked her what she was doing on my property. She said I'm with the city code enforcement division. I replied that I was aware of that but again asked her what her probable cause was for being on my property. Sir, your car is parked on the lawn and that is against city code.]/b] I replied that it looked to me like the car was sitting on concrete. Three wheels are on concrete but that rear one is sitting in a mud hole I replied that she needed to prove that it was sitting in a mud hole and not on concrete. I can do that she said and started for the rear of the car. I hollered out Wait a minute! What are you going to do? I'm going to reach down there and drag up some mud to prove it she said. >br/> You got a search warrant to allow you to go searching through my puddles of water for evidence? I asked. No, I don't and I don't need one. You are going to need one if you want to go poking through my water puddles for evidence to write me a ticket you will have to get a search warrant or I'll sue you personally. I don't need a search warrant I've got pictures for proof and I'll just wait till the water goes away and then I'll come back and give you your ticket. Then she snatched her ticket off the windshield of my car and left all in a huff. She will probably be much more angry when the water goes away and exposes the concrete the car was sitting on. It would have been sitting in a mud hole but we poured sackcrete in the mud hole last year. We just didn't have enough to bring the two surfaces up to the same level and so when it rains the old mud hole does get an inch or so of water in it. Covers up the concrete. That old biddy sure thought she had a live one though. (LOL) I sure am glad I've got those security cameras though.
