Thanks to all of the great information I have found here, I have been able to have deleted the one blemish on my CR and get some much deserved CL increases

I contacted Cap one and they increased my CL to 1200 .( was 1k )

Home Depot bumped me from 2500 to 7900 ( it was a measly 1k last Aug. ) They were hestitant but I told them that I was building a garage and was spending at least 6k. If they did not increase my CL I would be shopping elsewhere. I had to go through 4 CSR's and 3 managers to find someone with the "authority" to approve that much of an increase.

My Canadian Tire Card went from $1200 to $1700.

OT Totem Building Supplies and REVY sent me pre-approved cc offers in the mail. They must purchase a list from the city concerning who has received building permits. The offer mentions the fact I would be wise to use credit to build my "dream" garage. Revy has a no pay for six months offer, ( like Home Depot ) so I will have to see if they send me a card.

    Techman,
Getting Capital One results through normal channels and CSR's is not a common theme here. Next time try PlanetFeedBack.com and send a note to the executive office. There you will have an audience that is much more attentive to your needs and has much more "power" to get the results you want.

    Techman-
I think after people have gotten CL increase thru plain old CS at Cap One they have turned around and PFB'd Cap1 asking for a larger CL increase. Give it a shot the worst they could say is no.

Thanks for the replies. I will go the PFB route and see what it gets me.

I did the PFB CL increase request for Cap One but they told me to wait 4 months and try again.

We had an appraisal done on our house last week and it came out as 52.3k more than we owe.
We are years ahead in payments so our lender gave us a LOC for 37k.

Totem ( Building Supplies ) approved a CL of $5500, the card is in the mail.

The wife got a CL increase of $3800 on her Amex which bumps it up to 16K+. She bitched out TD Visa when they would not approve a transaction that would have put her within 98% of her max CL. They ended up increasing her CL another $1900
