Due to the enermous, repetitive violations and complaints concerning their abusive debt collection practices, I do recoomend the experienced members of the board and those who have proof to start a class action suit against this abusive enterprise. www.classactionamerica.com. I am not sure how the suit can be started but those experienced members can checkout the site and keep others informed. Hope all will join in to bring this jungle enterprise called Gulf Sate collections to Justice among the many other names that they use.
I will join. I have repeatedly told them that my old phone bill was included in a ch 7 (along with my old utility bill) and they keep dinging me (which led to a credit denial by a CC company which listed as a reason "Recent delinquencies"). I have called 3 times. Each time I am put on hold or given some lame story. They always ask for my BK attorney's # and I give it to them. I told them to look at my freaking credit report and you will see a BK 7 public record (discharged) around the date of the Phone and Utility. I will not fax them anything as I would either have to leave work or do it AT work (which in a small office is not something I want to share). I have threatened and plan to send a remove or report correctly letter (even though deep down it will "drop off" at the end of next year). These people CONTINUE to report me 120+ EVERY MONTH!!!! I will join only because I am fed up with companies that can't follow through. I would love to sue the collection agency that sold this debt to GS (some company in Torrance and S.D., CA - American Agencies). When I came out of BK7 I called them to inform them that I want the lines to properly state discharged in BK7. AA told me to call the Torrance office (even though I told them Pac Bell KNEW about the BK7 and even offered me new phone service). I call the Torrance office and the lady told me tough luck and basically called me a deadbeat. I called back twice and was hung up on. Now Gulf State is being disrespectful. As Charleton Heston said in the original POTA, "Damn Them! Damn them all to H**l!".
