I have been reading this site for a few days and it really is helpful. I have a question: I am in the process of looking over my CR and am finding quite a few mistakes (Amazin' isn't it). When I dispute items on the CR, do I send them in one at a time or send them all in at once?
I have found that it is better to dispute several at a time. I don't know which one you are working on but with TU and EXP, I have had better result by calling them that with the CRRR letters. So far I can't get EQX to change anything. Good luck, it may take awhile but it will be worth it.
I have tried calling them, but most not be calling the correct number. I have never talked to a real person, always a recording. Does anyone have numbers to the CRAs?
The number I have for EXP is 1-888-397-3742 and TU is 1-800-916-8800. I just stay on the line after I get to the point that I have the CR and wait for someone to answer. I have gotten through every time to a human and most of them have been helpful. Hope this works for you.
My suggestion is that you do your disputes by certified mail or online. That way you have proof of the disputes should it be needed later on.
