Hi! I was reading in the archives that when an account is cloaked, that means that the CRA did a hard delete and that the acct will not return. How do you know if the acct was cloaked??? I have this 90 day late that was deleted from EQ. However, when my CU pulled Equifax Mortgage credit report, it showed up on that report (despite the fact it has never showed up on the individual report again). Sooooo does EQ show me that it is gone but it is not REALLY gone from their system?? It is really confusing. TIA for any help you might be able to provide.

Equifax calls it a "P" code. It means the information reaches your file but is permanently flagged to not be distributed to anyone requesting your file (including you). they can't stop the information from being tape reported if the creditor continues to do so, but they can do this "hard delete" to make sure you're not harmed by the erroneous information reported.
