I first called Chase, they only gave me a classic card with 1K limit and high apr, they rep didn't eeven bat an eye, said your account is closed and you will receive confirmation. Guess they aren't interested in keeping customers. My next call went to Cap one, I fell for the platinum invitation awhile back, they also gave me 1K line. The rep asked why and I replied I was closing all my lower limit and higher apr accounts, she said well it looks like you are eligible for an increase of bringing your total to 2500. I again said close the account. She asked again if I was sure I said I was as sure as when I called, please close it. Cap one atleast tried but not even close, Chase could have cared less.
I feel feel ya madam....Providian did the same with me...they could care less...ole well. Are you in greenville, Sc? My fiance' is there.
Amazing how these businesses JUST DON'T CARE.... It sure makes you appreciate the ones that followthrough. aarrf - dogman
Yes Dog, what shocked me is that Chase didn't even ask why?? I have closed small accounts with small banks and they have always asked why, but none the less Chase will be put on my internal "blacklist". I live in Va, but I am a native Yankee (PA)
I am VERY happy myself for closing First Premier Bank. Had open only for the history, but I couldn't take it any longer and closed the account.
