Has anybody closed a credit card account and been denied on-line access or phone access to the account even though you still owe money and want to see how much you owe and if payments have posted???
Never on an account closed by me. Discover closed my account four years ago. I 'll have it paid next month (finally). I can access the automated phone service, but they will not let me have online access or online payments.
Closed a Macys account with a balance--I can access the phone ssytem and see the statement info macys.com but when I tried to sign up for ebilling to get electronic statements via my bank, it was denied. A Macys rep said they have a new policy in place, no bill presentment on closed accounts.
