Ok, my husband has a circuit city card that is being reported as "closed by consumer" however the date of last activity is 8/2002??!! It was closed out in 2000 and they are updating it still? Is this possible? Why would they show activity on a closed acct that is paid off (zero balance!) 2 yrs after it was closed? What can be done about this?

    Shouldn't matter one bit...

Should have NO affect on your score, or your DEBT TO CREDIT LIMIT RATIO...

OH but it does cause he was late on it. It states "in prior 48 months from date paid 3 times 60 days late 3 times 30 days late" It was paid off on 3/2000 therefore wouldn't the clock keep updating and show this acct late forever being they are still showing it current in the "updated" field? I thought lates only stayed on for 7 yrs but if they continue to report it then won't the lates stay there forever?
