Closed acct

    If dept. store cc acct is closed, can it be reopened again?

    Really depends, I have heard people who have had luck doing so.. Then I hear some people who say there is no way in hell.. Really depends on the creditor.. Wish I could give you a.. Yes it will or no it wont.. But I cant..

    Thing that worked for me is I called up... the Creditor to check on my account.. and I was shocked to hear it was closed.. I was completly outraged.. She apologized and reopened the same account, with the same number.. That is the most important part.. Make sure its the same account.. I would make sure to ask.. "I will be able to use my same card correct".. If they say no.. Your getting a new account number, and a new trade line on your report.. At that point it is your choice if you want to keep the new tradeline or say you know what this is a hassel, just keep it closed

    alot of time they will let u re-open if you do within 30 days of closing the account.

    Just an FYI for all who are curious. JCPenny has a 60 day reactivation limit for all closed accounts.
