$0 balance for this billing cycle, and I called to close the account yesterday.

Do they truly report it was "closed by consumer" with $0 balance, paid in full/as agreed, etc.? I know, it sounds stupid, but wouldn't put anything past them. Has anyone had any problems with Crap 1 after closing an account?

    Thanks for any input!

Not a problem, except with stupid EQ
On EX and TU, it reported as closed by consumer 0 balance.

But on EQ they reported as 0 but still open.

Luckily, it was fixed the following month after disputing with EQ

    Thanks, Brad -

That figures, considering Equifax is partnered with Crap 1.

According to Crap 1 CSR, if I pull my own report, it is considered a hard inquiry - UNLESS I buy some service through Crap 1, which would allow me unlimited access to my report with no hards.

I'm glad to be rid of them.

The CSR is full of crap.

Everyone here knows that inquiries you pull yourself are soft - otherwise we would all have hundreds and never get approved anywhere!

    Hi, Neil -

Yes, the CSR is full of crap - when I questioned what he said, we suddenly got disconnected...

They are too transparent, LOL :)

I sent these clowns a message through PFB last week for my wife and received a reply claiming they could could discuss account information over the internet because it wasn't secure....ironically they still have no problem accepting payment via the web!

You are well rid of them. In fact I can't imagine what use anyone with an Amex Blue and a Visa/MC for back up would have with Capital One, unless they had nothing else to waste $59 a year on!
