The very *LAST* derog finally came off of my EXP report (TU and EQU are clean). It was a 6.5 year old collection for $156. Even though the dates reported were 6/01 (when this CA got the account), EXP report said that it would be removed 10/2002 (which was correct, based on the ODD that was NOT showing on the report).

Anyways, I disputed it a couple weeks ago for the sixth or seventh time. Guess they finally got sick of me disputing it.

Low and behold, I went on vacation and came back, and it was GONE!

Funny thing, though. My "score" - according to CreditExpert - stayed exactly the same!

However - when I went to the 'simulation' screen (where it pre-fills stuff based on your report), the little slider showed that my "current score" was roughly somewhere near 750 -- about 50 points more than what the 'score' was on the main screen. Go figure.

Oh, well. I don't care about the fake scores. When I have my credit pulled again for re-review (in about 6 months when the house is finished), I'll see what the REAL score is.
