Hi all... please be patient with my ignorance on this one... I've been reading and searching, reading and searching... but not finding a specific answer for my situation: Rec'd collection letter beginning of April. Found this site. Sent validation request April 25th. Validation letter rec'd by CA on 4/29. I rec'd another collection letter last week while out of town. I was preparing to send estoppel letter, but was thrown by the collection letter. What kind of response should I send now? Do I reference their violation of continued collection? BTW, this is not on my credit reports - I want to keep it that way!! =) Thanks all!
Validation must reads Per Humblemarc http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=343640#post343640
Alright, let's assume that I'm dense, but not lazy. Seriously, I've read & re-read the validation threads, searched through estoppel threads, etc. Like I said, please be patient. Sorry, I'm sure it's right in front of me, but I'm missing it... Rather than validating, they've continued collection efforts. So, I'm presuming that I still proceed with the Estoppel letter as previously planned, but do I reference their continued collection activity and draw their attention to their violation? I guess what is tripping me up is the "I haven't heard from you" and "you're continued silence is unacceptable" bit in the Estoppel letter - I have heard from them, but they haven't validated.

This is what the estoppel is refering to. THE END ** *** ** LB 59 """""""""```~~~```'"""""""""
TeeBee, You are SPOT-ON follow your common sense!!!!!!!!!! See this thread: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?threadid=47216 LB what are you doing??? That's not what the estoppel letter is nor the doctrine and you know it! Sassy
Thanks Sassy!!! I have a tendency to get really hung up on the details when it's unecessary (used to skip recess in grade school because the picture I was coloring wasn't "perfect"!!) but I figured in the process of credit repair the details matter a lot!! My logic was saying that the sequence is for the most part used to get a CA to delete - but I'm just trying to keep them from reporting in the first place (and leave me alone) so a lot of the verbiage just didn't jive w/ my situation. Anyhow, thanks again!
