read various posts on this site regarding collection entries on credit reports. As I'm disputing inaccurate info on my three reports, I am trying to determine what cannot be listed for collection accounts. Also, for purposes of calculating the "removal date", the listings do not show the date of first delinquency. You have to determine and calculate that yourself. Several of the listings have been clearly re-aged. Also, is the date of first delinquency determined by the following - (Which ever event occurs first) 1. The date an account is charged off. 2. The date is sent to collections. 3. 180 days after an account became and remained delinquent. Entry on TransUnion Report: (Is this listed correctly)? [Collection Agency Name and File Number] Address Phone Number Balance: $436 Date Updated: 04/2004 Original Creditor: [Original Creditor Name] Past Due: $436 Pay Status: Collection Account Account Type: Open Account Loan Type: Factoring Company Account Remark: Placed for Collection Date Placed for Collection: 01/2004 Estimated date that this item will be removed: 12/2008 Thanks for the replies!
"Is this listed correctly?" No. If you dispute, be specific. "This is not a factoring company account and it is not a commerical account." Dispute it like that or something specific as to why it is not a factoring company account. "I do not have commerical accounts". "I am not a business" etc.
