    Hi all!

I have a couple questions for the credit experts out there.

    1. I had a charge off a couple years ago and was sent to a collection agency. I sent the validation letter, never heard anything. Sent a second letter after a month, and then one last letter. Still never heard a word. The did however list the account as "Consumer disputes this account information". It has been sitting like this for almost a year now. I recently received a letter from an attorney demanding payment for this debt (I had posted that previously). My question is, since the account has been marked as being in dispute for so long, what do you think my chances are of having the CRA delete just based on the fact that it's been in dispute for so long? I have sent the attorney a letter stating that the CA never validated the account (just sent it out yesterday).

    2. I filed BK7 in 1999, discharged 2000. Unfortunately, I had to include the employee CU where I worked (in the same building and everything). Do you think I have any chance of getting this removed? I have disputed online with Experian (the only CRA they report to) and every time it came back verified (I used up my online disputes on this account). I never bothered to request the procedure they used. They have 3 employee's.

I'm getting to the desperate stage. It seems like it's been so long since I've had any chances of getting credit. I needed a car last year and spent months battling to get it (finally had to have my mother cosign). I've come a long way in my battle, but I'm down to the difficult ones now.

This board has been a tremendous help. It's almost comforting that there are so many people out there that share the same problems.

I've had accounts marked in dispute since July and the CRA told me it will stay that way until the OC or CA changes it. The CRA doesn't care.

You have them on violations if you want to push the issue. I would send the CA an Estoppel letter.

If you wait a few weeks you should be able to dispute online again with EXP. I've done it several times. It seems like after so many days the computer resets itself.
