    Hi...

    I need your advise...

I have 3 accounts under collections with cingular wireless which it's legit for a total of $842.00..my business when under last year 2002....anyhow, the CA send me a letter to settle the account for $542.00. However, I contacted Cingular Wireless directly requesting copies all bills and they advise me not to settle the account with CA, that I should settle directly with Cingular

    I have 2 questions.....

    1. If I settle the account with the collection agency which will be for less $$$ can I demand to have them remove charged off from my CR?

    or

    2. If I decide to settle with Cingular directly which will be for the full amount can I demand to have my charged off be removed upon payment?

    What's should I do??

    Thanks!

you can pretty much demand anything you want. get a settlement letter sent out to the CA stating you will take the reduced amt., it will be paid in full and your tl will not be negative. if you are in collections, not sure why cing. would even deal with you. just make sure it's in writing.

Any CA tradeline is negative - paid or unpaid. Negotiate for deletion.
