I have a loan taken out directly with my college that was turned over to collections. The collection agency is GRC. I have been paying them $100 per month since January, but decided to send them a validation letter because they are charging about $700 extra fees. They are about 2 weeks over the 30 day period and I am unsure what to do.

They are not listing on my credit report as of yet, but I have no doubt that they will sometime in the future.

    Should I:

    1. Do nothing, continue to pay and if they do put it on my credit report dispute it because they have previously refused to validate?

    2. Stop paying until I receive some form of validation?

    3. Any other options??????????

I hate paying all of the extra fees, but I do know that the debt is mine.

    Thanks for the help.
