I was recently sued in civil court by Target National Bank through the law firm of Weinberg, Weltman and Reis. They served me with a complaint and I answered just last week and have heard nothing in response to any trial date set and so on. I really don't want to go to trial...I just want all this crap to end and to begin payment. I can only pay $100 a month but something's better than nothing, right? I tried appealing to Target directly, but they won't deal with me anymore because my account has already been turned over to WWR. Should I appeal to WWR or do you think I'm up against a brick wall? I mean, they don't want to go to all the trouble of a trial either, or do they? Or if I do offer a payment amount and they refuse, wouldn't this look better on my part if we do go to trial, that I tried to make ammends and they refused? Or does that not matter at all to a judge? Any suggestions please? Thanks!
