This is the problem: Had a medical collection with CA(#1). Disputed with CRA, was deleted. (Not sure if I ever sent them a validation letter) Now it has reappeared under a new CA(#2). Should I: a. Ignore it and dispute with the CRA only. b. Go ahead with the validation process (they have never contacted me)
If you send a validation letter now, they must cease collection activity, including reporting to the cra's, until they validate. And as they are the 2nd ca, it is becoming more unlikely that they can validate. So, I would send the validation, and about 4-5 days later dispute it with the cra's. I say 4 - 5 days to make sure the ca has received the validation first.
