I was just reading the success stories...how is anyone getting a "prime" card with collections on their report? I have three collection acccounts, medical and utility...minor amounts...but prime issuers won't touch me...am I missing something? I have a good income and that's my reason when I get denied...I don't get how some people are getting prime accounts...help me understand...
I'll take a stab at it, soup. Maybe the age of the collection has something to do with it. If its close to falling off, maybe they look at it differently. I am not ready for "prime time" yet but thats my guess.
Pay them off. Then as they age, citi will ignore them. Mine are like 6 years old, paid off, citi ignored and issued me card(s). Most other banks won't touch you however.
