Each time I dispute a paid collection it comes back verified with a new reported date. How can I get them to put the original report date on my Credit Report? What I'm looking for is: When it says Collection reported 9/01, it looks recent when it was from 9/98 and was paid then. I want it to look as old as it is. How can I acheive that?
Send them an old copy of your report, Erica, with the correct date on it. Black out things you don't want them to see. You know the miranda stuff, hehe. Anything they get will be used against you.
Breeze, thanks for the reply, but on Equifax, it shows the DLA AND the last reported date. The DLA is correct, but the last reported date makes it look recent. SO, with both dates on there does that make a big difference after all?
Oh, that's the one where we think it affects your score - like penalizing you for disputing. I would use that darn process letter if I did anything. When was the last time you disputed it? I have the same thing with tax liens I disputed, but came to the conslusion it was not affecting my real score.
It seems from my most recent report that the last time it was disputed was September of this year. I will be disputing it during CHOD. Right now, Frosty is on, so I will be watching that until my husband calls me. SO, I will write my letters tomorrow. If anyone wanted to know what channel Frosty is on, it is CBS.
