My bro needs some help, I'm now trying to help him delete the negs from his CR. Kinda confused on how to get these off CR; or if it is hurting FICO. He has 3 collections accounts which he wants to have deleted. All have been paid in full (no settlements). 1st account with CA - Hospital bill 2nd account with CA - Doctor bill 3rd account with CA - City Traffic ticket All these were paid to the CA. I can't seem to find any letter corresponding to this situation to try to have removed. These were all paid earlier this year, before I discovered CN. I've looked at the Nutcase letters but not sure if it meets the situation here. Any thoughts.
The HIPAA letter might help- do a search or ask someone who has been around a long time- but it will only work for medical bills.
10-4, I found the letter and will try with the two medical bills. Any recommendation for the 3rd CA account - Traffic Ticket. Although, the Nutcase letter doesn't pretain to this situation, I was thinking of giving it a try see how they respond.
You don't say if you've disputed them with the CRAs yet but I had two paid parking tickets that were listed on my CR (through a CA), all I did was dispute as "not mine" with the 3 and they fell off. Not sure if it'll be that easy for you but worth a shot before all the letter-writing.
Thanks amish, after reading more & more posts, I'm going to try that on all the CA accounts before going the validation route.
The problem with this is while it may get the listing off your report it does not get the ca off your back.
Re: Re: Collections That's the problem, they have already been paid, we'd just like to get them off the CR
