Can bill collectors collect interest? I paid off a Capital One card through a CA over four months to the tune of $4k. (I think the CA was ARS.) I noticed a lingering $141 on my EXP CP. Today I am told I still owe $141, because it was an "interest-bearing account." Is this legit? How can I fight this? I do not want to negotiate. Thanks E101
