    Columbus bank

I just got a call from Columbus Bank. (800-348-8783) They got info about my closed NextCard and said I was pre-approved for a Visa card with a line of $1,000 at 15%. Has anyone had any experience with these people? I called their 800 number and it said they are Aspire VISA.

I did see this under terms and conditions:

"· important â?? the agreement you receive will contain a binding arbitration provision. if a dispute is resolved by binding arbitration, you will not have the right to go to court or have the dispute heard by a jury, to engage in pre-arbitration discovery except as permitted under the code of procedure of the national arbitration forum ("naf"), or to participate as part of a class of claimants relating to such dispute. other rights available to you in court may be unavailable in arbitration."

    According to the BBB:

    "Aspire Visa Card Services
    PO Box 120-C
    Columbus, GA 31902 . . .

Complaints primarily involve consumers who allege they were transferred from their existing credit card company to Aspire Visa Card without their knowledge, receiving a card without applying for it, not being made aware of higher interest rates and membership or administrative fees being billed in error.

The company responds to these concerns by explaining that legally notification is sent to cardholders when Aspire acquires their account. The company also states that this notification explains the terms and conditions of the financial agreement. When billing or fee errors are identified, the company responds by reversing, waiving or adjusting fees. According to a company representative, if accounts are opened or cards issued in error, the company closes the account when notified. The company further states that some accounts are identified as delinquent and that fees charged are according to the agreement statement. Aspire also offers payment arrangements in cases when justified. The Aspire Card company acknowledges customer service problems and states that measures are taken to correct these problems in the future."

I thought I would apply for a Target Visa soon. I have had a Target Guest card now for over six months in good standing and with a zero balance and I thought that Target would give me a bigger line of credit than $1,000.
