Hi all, Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this... I have a company cc from USBank that I'm only allowed to use for business purposes. I charge stuff, expense it, and then they cut a check to US Bank. Thing is, the agreement I signed when I got the card clearly said that ultimately, I'm responsible for the account - ie, if they won't/can't pay for whatever reason, it's on me to make good. It's not listed on my CR and I'm wondering if this is common for company cards? When I applied for it I was hesitant since I'm in the low 600's, but they sent me the card w/o issue. I'm thinking about calling them and asking them to report, but I'm concerned that bad thing may happen if that triggers them to look at my personal credit - which I'm assuming they didn't do in the first place. Anyway, any thoughts on this? I'd really like to add the + tradeline, but I'm not sure it's worth the risk of them retracting it since I use it a lot... Thanks!
You may want to closely review your 3 CRA files and see if they haven't been doing periodic account review (AR) SOFT inquiries all along. If so, then you know they're already keeping tabs on you to some extent. I have a corp AMEX and they do not report. However, I see them doing periodic AR soft inquiries on my EX file. BTW, if I were to go in default on my corp AMEX, it wouldn't surprise me at all if THEN they decided to report ! I have 6 yr. old BK7 on file and it hasn't been a problem so far w/respect to the corp. Amex.
That's the way mine is! It's through GE Corporate Card Services. It doesn't report, but they tell you in the fine print that if you're late they can report. We have a 60-day grace period before they even consider it late. I understand from a friend whose card got screwed up that they don't report when you first go late, but they use it as a threat that if you don't pay they'll report it.
I have a Government Travel Visa by BofA. Had it for 5 years with perfect payment history however since it is a Co Card it isn't reported to my CR... Yeeesh I tried seeing if I could get the tradeline added but I kept getting dead ended on that...
