I'm planning to combine my Blue and Optima Platinum cards into a Blue with a higher limit. I was wondering if Amex includes the history of the older account after you combine ?
Me too, don't know which is the best scenario? Amex LOC...Amex Gold Charge ( can not combine ) Amex Platinum Cash Rebate Amex Gold Delta SkyMiles Amex Blue Amex Secured Optima ( 8/00 ) If combine all 3 Optima ( not secured card ) The line then close to 40K which I think is not a good strategy. Call New Accounts, ask to speak w/ the M.O.R.E. team. You can choose which one you'd like to keep and which one you'd like to close. If you prefer they keep the older tradeline, close the newer account. Saar
Thanks for the info, Saar and George. I just called the M.O.R.E. team and they combined the CL from the Optima account ($3,000) with the CL from Blue ($5,000) to bring the total limit to $8,000. I just love this board!!!
