I have the CITI platinum select and CITI aa gold. Can the gold be combined with the Platinum? If so, how do I proceed?

    Thanks,

    Call up CS and ask.

If they tell you these products are incompatible, tell them you want to SWITCH products from aa to platinum select. Then presto, u can combine!

    Good luck,
    Roman

I called Citi cs to inquire about moving the gold aa to platinum. When I asked this they put me on hold so they could get one of their specialist to talk to me. The person immediately lowered my rate from 16.9% to 10.99% before I could even say hello. She also stated she would get back to me tomorrow regarding waiving the $85 fee. My Platinum is 14% and she stated she wasn't authorized to change that rate. Should I not combine the two since I'm getting a much better apr with the gold aa or should I call about the Citi plat. select and ask for the same rate. It seems like I'm dealing with two different companies. They must segment their call groups by credit card type so this must be why she was only specialized in handling only the gold aa card.

gold is done by citicorp, silver is citibank. It shows up on your EFX light as day ;)
