   I have a question about community property states. Does it apply where you got married or where you live? My husband and I were married in CA, and now live in NY, can they go after my husband for my debts if they are in my name only? We have a checking account together but I do not have a job.

   I don't understand this much at all either..I just bought some land in Arizona and put it under me and wifes name..,And he asked me if i wanted it written up as husband and wife because they are what you mention in that state
