    CompuCredit To Buy Credit Card Facility Of Providian

    ATLANTA -(Dow Jones)- CompuCredit Corp. (NasdaqNM:CCRT - News) agreed to hire about 175 employees, purchase certain assets and assume the lease on a 19,000-square-foot portion of Providian Financial Corp.'s credit card operations facility in Salt Lake City.
    Financial terms were not provided.

    In a press release Monday, credit card company CompuCredit said it expects to complete the transaction in October.

    Neither company was immediately available for further comment.

    In June, Providian completed the sale of $2.4 billion of credit-card receivables to CompuCredit and CardWorks Inc.

    Does this mean my Providian VISA will become an Aspire VISA at 40% APR? I have had a zero balance for months, but haven't closed it yet for ratio purposes....UUGGHHH!
