   I've just started to deal with 4 years of credit card debt that I have ignored. I don't even know who I owe and what I owe.
   
   Can anyone help me get started--do I need a third party to help me? Can I do this myself? How do I find out what I owe and how to pay?

   first step, pull all your reports and see what you've got out there.
   
   EQ/EXP/TU.
   
   then read the FAQ ;p...but usually a good second step is to dispute all the negative stuff as 'not mine'. you'd be surprised how many TL's will fall off with a simple 30-day dispute.
