I keep getting letters from Sallie Mae suggesting that I consolidate my student loans. I'd like to do it if that will roll all of my little loans into one loan on my report so it doesn't look like I have 5 loans. My question is, will I still be able to forbear with ease? My interest rate is pretty low as it is right now. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot with this.
Call and ask. I consolidated but not with SAllie Mae. Consolidating actually gave me more forbearance time available.
