I had a GMAC Mortgage that has been refinanced. I vaguely remember disputing something on it at some point, but at this point it is marked as "Paid/Never Late."

However, on all three reports there is the notation "Account information disputed by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act)"

Is this in any way considered derogatory? Does it affect my score?

    Thanks!

How old is the report? Are you sure it is recent?

I GOT THE SAME GARBAGE FOR DISCOVERCARD!!!!!!!

They had me owing $17,500 with a credit limit of $17,500~~100% MAXED!!!!! (3 MONTHS)

FOR A FACT I NEVER OWED MORE THAN $100 THOSE 3 MONTHS...SO I DISPUTED IT FOR 3 MONTHS IN A ROW AND THAT GARBAGE SHOWED UP!!!

EQUIFAX REMOVED IT TWICE FROM WIFE'S REPORT...NOW IT IS BACK...AND NOW I HAVE IT TOO!!!!

Is it worth the effort to get it changed? With my luck they'll delete the whole darn account, which is a positive mark.

"I DISPUTE THESE WORDS"----->"Account information disputed by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act)"

"I DO NOT DISPUTE THIS ACCOUNT"
