I signed up yesterday with comsumerinfo.com for the free 30 day trial of CreditCheck and I still have not gotten the email that my report is ready for viewing. Is this normal to take so long? The clock is ticking on my 30 days....
I tried this service a few months ago. I recieved a notice in the mail about four days latter via snail mail with a password. the company emailed me two days after I registered telling me my report was completed but I needed the password that was comming in the mail. you only get one report for the month. It is not like creditexpert(affiiliated with ex) & creditwatch(affiliated with eq ) were you can get a new report everyday. If all you want is one report the service is ok. But once you become addicted like the rest of us you will see it's limitations. see the boards faqs to find the websites I mentioned hope this helps you
I use consumer info and I pull my report every day! I have had it long before Equifax started their online services. For your first report, you have to wait for the password in the mail. Once you get your password, you can request your report whenever you want (though if you made two requests in one day it would ignore both). It used to be that you could only request it once a day, and any requests made on Friday or over the weekend would be processed on Monday. In this old system, you would request your report one day and get it the next day. I have been having lots of problems with equifax, and for a while, I was pulling it every weekday. Now, within the last week, they revamped their site. Qspace and ConsumerInfo are the same company, and ConsumerInfo's new interface is now like Qspace. They now allow you to customize your login information, and they allow you to pull your report instantaneously. For an additional $5, you can add a CreditXpert score to a specific report. Though I have found that the CreditXpert score varies widely from your Equifax Scorepower score. Once you get your password, check it out. It's not too bad especially for me because I can't use Equifax's credit watch (though I can use score power which in the long run costs me more money) because of the size of my file they say.
sorrry for the wrong advice! at least we got some one with better info. but, while you were in the 30 day trial period did you get a new report each day? maybe I just couldn't figure it out.
I don't remember how often I pulled it during my trial. Remember that every time you pull it, you get a soft inquiry. If your file get too large because of all the soft inquiries, you may have trouble using Equifax's online services. So you might not want to pull it too often.
